An approved choice

Created in Japan, CSST was first developed as a way to protect gas installations from the seismic movement earthquakes can cause and it has been recognised as a gas piping material since 1998.

Now, around the world CSST is used as a reliable, flexible and time-saving alternative to copper and steel. Gastite® CSST is suitable for use with all three family gases.

Meeting all relevant standards, it is approved under:

  • BS 7838 for corrugated pipework up to DN50 with a maximum working pressure of 75mbar
  • BS EN 15266 for corrugated pipework up to DN50 with a maximum working pressure of 500mbar

Gastite® CSST should be installed under the following standards:

  • BS 6891 for domestic installations
  • IGEM UP2 for commercial installations
